FORMER Boyzone star Stephen Gately was in the region this week to promote his new role in a play which begins touring later this year.
The pint-sized popstar was at the Empire Theatre in Sunderland where he will perform as Jesus in the play Godspell when it comes to the theatre in October.
Stephen visited the theatre to offer tips to children taking part in a Stage Experience of We Will Rock You, and chatted to Entertainments Reporter Tegan Chapman about his new show.
