Celebrating work of supporting young people in region

ORGANISATIONS and individuals who support young people could be honoured for their work.

The North East Youth Work Awards celebrate and acknowledge the hard work and contribution that youth services and individuals across the region have made to the youth sector.

The awards, now in their second year, are hosted by the Regional Youth Work Unit – North East (RYWU-NE).

Individuals, projects and youth services based in the north east who work with young people between the ages of 11 to 25 can enter for one of the ten awards.

Awards include Youth Worker of the Year; Youth Work Manager of the Year; Volunteer of the Year; Outstanding Contribution in 2012; Best Youth Participation Initiative; Best Youth Work Partnership; and Services to Young People.

Nominations close on February 6 with the ceremony on March 26 at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light. For more information visit www.rywu.org.uk/rywu-ne-awards
