Market should be undercover

I AM writing in reference the article on Ronnie Campbell, MP, and the Blyth market being partly undercover (News Post Leader, June 14).

I have been telling people since 1968 about this.

The local towns from my part of the country all have these type of markets – just outside Manchester in Hyde, Ashton under Lyme and Glossop.

Blyth wasted a lot of money doing what they did to the market place when they could have done what is now being suggested.
