New bus service more than useful

NOT many travellers will be aware of the bus service 19 introduced at the end of March by Go North East as it has not been widely advertised.

The service runs from Cramlington via Holywell village, Northumberland Park Metro station, Silverlink, Royal Quays, North Shields Ferry and North Shields.

I have used this bus and I am very impressed with the friendly, helpful attitude of the drivers, the promptness of the service and the quick access to destinations that usually involve two buses and lengthy travelling time.

This is the first time I know of, in many years, that a new bus operator and service has been introduced to travel through Holywell village, despite the much needed access to retail outlets, Metro and the ferry.

Well done and hopefully the service will prove to be useful.
