Series of events will be targeting anti-social problems

A SERIES of events to crackdown on crime are being held in Blyth.

The town’s neighbourhood policing team have launched the operation that will see officers tackling anti-social behaviour as well as shoplifting.

Neighbourhood Inspector Dave Harris said: “Events will be taking place at the policing pod which is located outside the Asda store in Blyth.”

The dates are: Thursday, December 6, from 10am to 2pm – Homes for Northumberland; Friday, December 7, 9am to 11am – CAB, and 1.30pm to 3.30pm – Fire and Rescue Service; Monday, December 10, 9am to noon – Territorial Army (TA); Tuesday, December 11, 12.30 to 3.30pm – police crime prevention team; Wednesday, December 12, 10am to 2pm – Homes for Northumberland; Thursday, December 13, 9am to noon – TA; and 1.30pm to 3.30pm – Northumberland County Council parking services; Friday, December 14, 10am to 2pm – Homes for Northumberland; Saturday, December 15, 10am to 2pm; Monday, December 17, 9.30am to 1pm – CAB, and 1.30pm–3.30pm – Fire and Rescue; Tuesday, December 18, to 10.30am to noon – Fire and Rescue, and 12.30pm to 3.30pm – crime prevention; Wednesday, December 19, to 10am–2pm – Homes for Northumberland; and Thursday, December 20, 9.30am to 3pm – CAB.
