SOS for serving soldiers abroad

SUPPORT Our Soldiers sends out morale-boosting care parcels every month throughout the year as well as at Christmas, to our serving personnel on the frontline in Afghanistan and other areas of conflict. The charity is fully endorsed by the MOD and they have agreed that we can send out 12,000 Christmas parcels again this year.

We would like to ask the general public to again show their support and appreciation to our troops by donating items or making up a box to send over to give them a little bit of home comfort.

Items such as Christmas chocolates, small Christmas puddings, biscuits, toiletries, Santa hats and tinsel will make their Christmas that little bit more special.

We are sending out 300 from the Morpeth/Northumberland area alone so would appreciate any help our local community can give us. If anyone would like to donate items or make up a box and would like to know more about the work the charity does and help with our appeal, then please e-mail us at morpeth@supportoursoldiers.co.uk or telephone 07877 690397.

We can arrange collection of any items or boxes or we have drop off points in Bedlington, North Shields and Morpeth. Please remember to include a message or Christmas card as we know that means such a lot to our troops.
