The times they are a-changing

I AM sure the residents of Seaton Delaval were so pleased when, all of a sudden, a tall clock appeared in the traffic island some weeks ago allowing us to keep up to the mark.

However, recently something has gone wrong and now all the clock faces display different times – all of which are incorrect.

Is this a plot to subvert our timekeeping or has it a more sinister meaning.

One guess is that it is actually the central support for the Christmas tree, suitably disguised.

Many folk are not sure who is behind the provision of this soon-to-be-famous attraction but perhaps it would be better for all if someone who knows about these things could oversee a repair – and hopefully one which lasts.
