Walks aimed at raising funds for heart charity

A CHARITY is urging the community to take part in a ‘hearty walk’ to raise much needed funds.

The British Heart Foundation is holding Heart Walk events at Druridge Bay on March 24 in aid of its Mending Broken Hearts Appeal.

The organisation is encouraging residents, regardless of age and fitness ability, to put on a pair of comfortable shoes and walk one of two routes. For families, there is a walk of under 2k and, for a bigger test, walkers can take on one of just under 10K.
