Walk’s £2,134 in aid of lifeboat
ON September 18 last year, Jennifer Tweddle and friends did a sponsored walk in aid of the Blyth All Weather Lifeboat in memory of her late husband Barry Tweddle, who was a fisherman from Cramlington who sadly lost his life whilst fishing at Blyth, Cambois.

YOU printed a letter from me (News Post Leader, February 2) relating to the money we received from the Co-op Community Fund, well you can imagine our surprise when a gentleman turned up at our weekly pop-in meeting at St Aidan’s Centre in Park View, Ashington, and donated a really generous sum of money.

Have your say on the leisure plans
JANUARY 27 will see the end of the consultation on the county council’s preferred site on which to build the new multi-functional centre in Ashington, or leisure centre as the council like to call it.
Percentage rise is still an increase
