Planners ripped heart out of town

I HAVE just been to the town centre for a walk and find that Blyth has become one of the most uninviting, drab, filthy places I have ever been to.

The centre is a grey, lifeless, empty space surrounded by charity shops and prize bingo. Well done town planners, what kind of commerce is this?

They have driven all the cars out and the only car park is so small it fills up in an hour and now they have stopped parking in the side streets to visitors.

They have stuck up a turbine at the bottom of Waterloo Road. Wow that is something to show the tourists, I don’t think so. What is the thinking behind these people and do any of them live here?

They have ripped the heart out of this once proud and colourful town which boasted a beautiful town centre.
