The 30 daredevils took the 70ft plunge to raise money for the Grace House North East Children's Hospice Appeal.
The charity abseilers ranged from 16-years-old to 73, with some coming from as far away as London.
But Sarah Thompson, from Blyth, was the first one to go over the edge and received a huge cheer from friends and spectators waiting for her at the bottom.
The event has raised over £2,500 for Grace House North East Children's Hospice Appeal which is raising funds to build, equip and run an eight bed facility serving the north east between Berwick and Teesside.
