THE unique history of a county village has been immortalised in a new DVD.
The fascinating film Choppington Township Revisited is the seventh in the series from the Six Township's Community Historical Group.

The group has already created DVDs on Stakeford, Cambois, Bedlington and Sleekburn, Bedlington and Sleekburn revisited, Netherton and Choppington Township, and the latest title, which is the second part of the Choppington series.

The DVD is available from Clayton News, Bedlington Station, Choppington Post Office, Guide Post, Choppington News, Choppington and R and S Convenience store, Bedlington for £4.99.

Six townships group secretary John Dawson said: "All the DVDs are approximately 30 minutes long and enable you to take a nostalgic look back the area you are interested in.

"See how the areas have changed over the years and see people connected, and see the old businesses and events, mines, and many other topics on these collectable DVDs.

"On this particular DVD there are very, very rare photographs, and a lot of people give their memories - it is absolutely brilliant."

The DVDs are produced by Six Township Media, as part of the historical group.
