CRAMLINGTON indie band The Longsands have confirmed their first short tour of 2009 – with a special gig in their home town.
The rock and roll five-piece will be appearing in venues across the region on a five-date mini tour as guests to Russ Hastings from The Jam, from May 12-16.

Longsands lead singer Trevor Cox said: "To be asked to tour with the new lead singer of The Jam is amazing, but for Russell to perform as our special guest in our home town is a real coup.

"It is a chance for us to put on a great show for our local fans a lot of who will be very fond of The Jam as well.

"It just goes to show how well we are doing and how far we have come."

Russell will appear as a special guest in The Longsands home coming gig on Thursday, May 14, at Cramlington Village Club.

Tickets for the Cramlington Village Club Gig will be priced at a discount rate of £5 and are available from the venue, band members or by e-mailing info@thelongsands.co.uk
