A YOUNGSTER from Blyth was given the VIP treatment after designing a logo for a house building firm.
Horton Grange First School pupil Aaron Toole was the special guest of Barratt Homes at their new development, where his competition winning logo is now on show.

The company, which is building 90 new homes at Horton Park, off Chase Farm Drive, asked youngsters at the school to create a logo for the development.

And Year 1 Aaron was the overall winner and his colourful design will now be featured on signs and posters.

Bernard Rooney, managing director of Barratt North East, said: "The children produced some very imaginative ideas.

"The standard of entries was very high and a credit to the school."
