Arrest after charity bags are reported stolen

POLICE are trying to trace the movements of a minibus in Blyth after a man was arrested on suspicion of stealing charity bags.
A 43-year-old man was arrested in in Cowpen Road on Wednesday for theft after a complaint about charity bags being taken from outside houses in the town.

The man has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Now officers are keen to trace the movements of a white minibus, registration T492 AKP, which may have been in the Blyth and Cramlington area over the past few days.

Anyone who may have seen it or have any information is asked to contact police at Blyth on 03456 043043 ext 69191, quoting log number 454 of August 6.
