Blyth man dies in scooter accident

A BLYTH man has died following a bike accident on a Northumberland road.
James Cranson, 39, died in Newcastle General Hospital on Monday after an accident while riding his red Megalow scooter bike.

The accident happened Monday at 10.53am on the B6309 road between Matfen and Stamfordham, west of Newcastle.

Police were called to the scene following reports of the collision, with Mr Cranson being taken to the hospital with serious head injuries, where he later died.

No other vehicle or people are believed to have been involved in the accident.
