Concern for missing Ashington man

POLICE are appealing for information about a missing Northumberland man.
Concern is growing for the welfare of Andrew Merritt, aged 47, who has been missing from his Ashington home since Thursday, June 25.

Mr Merritt is originally from the Hastings, Sussex, area and is described as 5ft 11in tall and of thin build.

He has short hair which is starting to grey and is partially bald. He is white but has a tanned complexion and hazel-coloured eyes.

When he left he was wearing a red long-sleeved top and blue jeans. Mr Merritt may be driving a red coloured trike motorcycle.

Anyone who may have seen Mr Merrit or anyone who matches this description, or anyone with any information about his whereabouts is asked to call Northumbria Police on 03456 043 043 extension 69191.
