A FAMILY history event is coming to Cramlington next month.
The event, which takes place on Thursday, April 17, in Cramlington Library, aims to encourage visitors to research their own family tree.

Local studies librarian Anne Newbury said: "The appeal of family history is continuing to grow.

"It is very easy to become hooked and it does turn into a very enjoyable hobby.

"It is something that members of the family can work on together and has in fact been known to put family members back in touch, even though they may be thousands of miles apart."

The event is the second in a series taking place across Northumberland and will include talks and individual advice sessions and have members of local organisations on hand to offer advice.

For further details or to book a place contact Cramlington Library on (01670) 714371 or Anne Newbury on (01670) 528037.
