THE Greater Morpeth Development Trust (GMDT) has appointed a new project manager.
Gemma Gadomski, of Gosforth, has taken up the post of project manager for the regeneration trust.

Ms Gadomski, former assistant of Peter Skinner MEP, joins the trust after leaving her post with Libraries and Archives North East.

She joins the small GMDT team, based at The Lodge in Carlisle Park, helping to develop Morpeth as a north east market town as well as urban and rural regeneration schemes in the surrounding areas.

The trust is planning to create a water feature in Carlisle Park and will be launching a recycling rally aimed at children later in the year.

Ms Gadomski said: "There are so many positive projects in the pipeline for Morpeth, but we also want to talk to more local people, and listen to what they feel can be done to improve their town and the countryside around it."
