ALL the election results from Blyth Valley, Castle Morpeth and Wansbeck as they happen.
Their are 67 seats up for grabs today in the new Northumberland Council single unitary authority set to come into force in April 2009.

Click on the links to get the results as they are announced from the three wards in south east and mid Northumberland.

From this month, the 67 successful candidates will take over the remaining business for Northumberland County Council until the new local authority comes into force on April 1, 2009.

Those councillors representing the district and borough councils will also continue in post until next year's change over.
