MANY pieces of artwork by members of the local clergy will be going on display for the first time this month.
The Bottlework Project at St Paul's Church in Seaton Sluice will exhibit work by Anglican clergy from the Newcastle Diocese alongside work of local artists.

Artwork will be around the theme of 'Created and formed' and the exhibition is the third by the Bottleworks Project.

The Rev Dr Peter Bryars, who came up with the idea of showing clergymen's work, said: "I've had to encourage some people to show their work for the first time and they are very nervous doing so.

"Even those who have seen their work given glowing reports."

The work will be on display in St Paul's from May 24 to May 26 from 11am to 4pm.
