KEAp Creative worked with hundreds of residents and visitors throughout the summer to create the piece, entitled NE64 A Field for Newbiggin.
The 300 ceramic pieces based on images of Newbiggin's heritage were installed on the promenade last Sunday morning and remained in place until Monday afternoon.
The work was installed on land belonging to the Co-op but KEAp is still searching for a permanent home for this piece of community art and would prefer a place easily accessible to the many Newbiggin residents who took part in its production.
Anyone who can offer a space measuring about eight square foot is asked to contact Eva Hartley on (01670) 817029 or e-mail
