Woman found dead outside Travelodge hotel

POLICE have launched an investigation after a woman was found dead near an hotel in Seaton Burn on Saturday.
The 37-year-old, who has not been named, was treated by paramedics outside the Travelodge in Seaton Burn but died at the scene.

Northumbria Police said an investigation is underway and appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

A force spokesman said the identity of the woman was being withheld until relatives had been notified.

The coroner has been informed.
