DO you know what the third biggest killer in the UK is?
Did you know that every five minutes someone is having one?

You may be surprised to learn that it is a stroke and it happens suddenly and can affect anyone whatever their age.

The Stroke Association is the only national charity combating strok
e in people of all ages and we are recruiting volunteers in the south east Northumberland area to join our enthusiastic staff and volunteer team.

We are looking for people to deliver informal talks to local organisations and community groups in order raise the profile of The Stroke Association and awareness about stroke.

So, if you are confident talking to a range of different audience, perhaps have previous experience of public speaking or want to engage with your local community then this could be the opportunity for you.
Induction training and ongoing support will be provided

If you are interested in these or any other volunteering opportunities please ring (0161) 742 7480, e-mail lisa.mcdermott@stroke.org.uk or visit our website www.stroke.org.uk

We look forward to hearing from you!
