I LIVE in a quiet street, very neighbourly in fact, but the only problem I have is that we have trees. All one side is trees.
They make the place nice I agree, but this particular one is right outside my door. It blossoms with pink flowers every spring, but when it starts to get windy I am the only one in the street with a pink front lawn. It is like confetti falling everyw
here.

Very nice, you might think. But such a mess afterwards, it gets carried in the house over carpets and floors etc.

The other thing I don't like is the branches, leaves etc. They are so big that for the past three years I have repeatedly reported it to Wansbeck Council for them to come and trim them down, with no effect or response.

I don't get much sun and bedding plants or shrubs etc are always in the dark or shade. If the branches grow any more I will be getting them knocking on my windows. It will be just like the Day of the Triffids.
So if anybody's out there – please trim the tree so that my flowers can flourish and get some sun.

You don't have to cut the tree down as it's a nice tree in blossom, but just cut some of the branches off so it grows up instead of outwards.

I hope that someone reads this letter this time.

Please, please, let there be light.

MR JOHNNY REAY

Choppington.
