I AM writing to ask you to thank MP Ronnie Campbell and Councillor Gordon Webb for attending our Proud of Pubs night which was to highlight the good work which is carried out by pubs such as our own up and down the country in the community.
The evening was a charity event in aid of Macmillan Cancer support which raised over £400 for the cause.

I would like to thank everyone who helped to provide raffle prizes and helped out on the evening by attending and lending their support.

A special thank you has to go to Jason Vare aka Shagpile for providing the entertainment on the evening and his friends.

Mr Campbell saw and remarked on how much of a good evening he had and this goes to show that the people of Blyth and the Isabella are a fine bunch of people.

I have to also mention that Coun Webb has not only got the X factor when it comes to the voting slip, but also has the X factor in his singing.

PAUL MURDY
