AS an avid supporter of The Children's Society, I had to write to give special recognition for and thanks to the staff and members of The Co-operative who raised a whopping £2.3million for childhood.
By their sheer hard work and commitment, The Co-operative managed to more than double their original target of £1million, which means The Children's Society can continue to defend, safeguard and protect every child's right to a good childhood.

Last year I took time out from the stage to trek across the Himalayas and raise vital funds for The Children's Society, so I know how hard it is.

So on behalf of everyone from The Children's Society and the thousands of children this fundraising will help, I hope you will join me in saying a huge thank you.

I'm sure many of your readers supported The Co-operative's campaign and I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their efforts to ensure The Children's Society can continue to make childhood better for all children in the UK.
