Budding young actors are being invited to audition for a role in a new feature film to raise awareness of a north east charity.
ACT 2 CAM will soon begin filming The Unwanted, which aims to raise awareness for the charity, North East Hearts with Goals.
Young people aged 11 to 16 and adults aged 20 to 60 from across the north east will take part in the feature film, produced by ACT 2 CAM.
The filming will take place at Norham High School in North Shields, from April 7 to 19.
North East Hearts with Goals places lifesaving defibrillators throughout the local area and raises awareness surrounding sudden cardiac arrest. Proceeds from The Unwanted will go towards the North Tyneside school’s Defib campaign.
ACT 2 CAM works with more than 200 young people from all over the world, producing five short films and one feature film per year.
The current project is looking for 100 young people and ten adults from the region to take on the role as a background artist.
Producer Stephen Woods said: “I believe there is a wealth of undiscovered talent in North Tyneside; I can’t wait to meet our new actors.’’
