Cast wanted for musical by local company

A THEATRE company is looking for singers ahead of their next musical this year.

Blyth Music and Theatre Company are hoping to hit the right note with their latest intake of interested performers.

Rehearsals are due to begin for ‘Calamity Jane’, which will be performed between March 13 and 17 at The Phoenix Theatre in Blyth.

Director Jacqueline Grey said: “We need to find more singers so if anyone fancies treading the boards please get in touch or come to a rehearsal.

“We had great success with Sound of Music last March and are just starting to rehearse for Calamity Jane.

“Hopefully we can encourage new members and also people to return to the stage who may have performed when younger.”

Rehearsals take place on Thursdays at 7.30pm, starting on January 3. They will take place at The Spartan Pub in Twelfth Avenue, Blyth.

Anyone who is keen to tread the boards or is looking to return to the stage should contact 0191 237 0345 or email trev.bell@tiscali.co.uk
