Dinosaurs heading for exhibition at Woodhorn

An exhibition will soon be coming to Ashington’s Woodhorn Museum that promises to transport visitors back millions of years to a time when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

The exhibition, Dinosaur Encounter, will feature nine moving, roaring animatronic creatures plus other many other exhibits and runs from Saturday, May 24, until Monday, September 1.

The exhibition features the most famous creature of all dinosaurs – the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

At three-quarters the size of a life-size T-Rex, this animatronic model is a fearsome image of this extinct monster. Another model is the Ankylosaur, which was a short-legged, sturdy limbed creature with bands of bony studs or plates to protect its body.
