27 Dresses
PREDICTABLE from the word go - but 27 Dresses is both charming and engaging.
For me Katherine Heigl is the new Bridget Jones of the film world.
Every part she plays I believe, and her lows and highs are so true to life I can't help but love her.
So I was delighted to see her turn her hand at another rom-com, following on from her latest comedy smash Knocked Up.

And the storyline had me captivated from the start.
Heigl plays Jane, a habitual bridesmaid that has 27 dresses from all the weddings she has been to, but has never been a bride.
The first scene shows Jane racing between bridesmaid duties at two weddings at the same time as she changes outfits in the taxi.
The predictable male lead is Kevin, played by James Marsden, who plays the wedding column reporter who doesn't believe in marriage.
But of course, he stumbles across Jane as she dashes between weddings, and he ends up in possession of her filofax, quickly realising that he may have a story on his hands about the eternal bridesmaid that could just turn his career around.
In the meantime we follow Jane and her obssession with her boss George (Edward Burns), who she has been in love with for years.
But when George meets Jane's sister (Malin Akerman) the pair quickly fall in love, much to Jane's dismay, and it falls to Jane to organise the wedding plans for the loved-up couple - as she simple can't say 'no'.
It may be a chic-flick to the extreme, with every possible cliche known to man, but you will not help but love it's charm.
Even an astronaut will be able to see the ending, but it's a charming tale that will have you wanting to see what happens to get to that predictable (but sweet) ending.
