Chris Shiflett & The Dead Peasants perfectly showcases Chris' skill as a songwriter as well as a guitarist, as the album is full of infectious rock songs.
This is quite clearly a very talented singer-songwriter in his own right, and this debut album is a perfect mix of tracks.
Album highlight for me is God Damn - a real rock anthem if ever there was one, but this album also has a softer rock side with tracks like Bandaged and Get Along.
The lyrics in these songs are also worth a good listen, as they are very carefully thought out and put together - especially in An Atheists Prayer.
