The story of a town which banned dancing will be brought to life on stage next week.
Whitley Bay Operatic Society will present Footloose,
from Wednesday, that tells the story of small town Bomont where dancing is banned until city boy, Ren McCormack arrives, breaking every taboo on his mission to bring dance back to the heart of the town. This feel good musical; jam packed with electrifying dancing and memorable music promises to have you dancing in your seats.
Packed with classic 1980s anthems like Holding out for a hero, and of course, Footloose, the show will be at the Playhouse Whitley Bay, from Wednesday, April 24, to Saturday, April 27, at 7.15pm. Tickets priced at£15 each or £13 for concessionsl are available by calling 0844 248 1588 .
