A dance and performance arts school is putting the finishing touches to its annual charity showcase.
N-GAGE Performance Academy, based in Seaton Delaval, is raising money for The Percy Hedley Foundation following the success of a previous fundraising show.
The school has only been operating a year but decided to hold an annual charity event – with their first one in aid of Meningitis UK raising more than £1,000.
Nichola Wilson, managing director of N-GAGE, said she chose the charity after her son Mitchell Maddison, now seven, was diagnosed with meningitis when he was four-months-old.
She added that they had chosen to support the Percy Hedley Foundation this year as one of their students is a carer of a boy who suffers from an undiagnosed condition closely related to cerebral palsy, and he has received help from the foundation, as well as her own son who has been diagnosed with Dysparxia and ADHD.
Nichola said: “We aim to raise as much money as we can and have planned another annual charity showcase at the Lancastrian Suite in Dunston.
“This year’s theme will be N-GAGE goes tribal. We aim to raise as much money from this as we can to add to the money raised from other events we have planned.”
The event will take place on October 27. Tickets are £15. Anyone who wants to buy tickets should contact Nichola on 07704 082708.
