Following enormously successful sell-out seasons on both sides of the Atlantic, The Pitmen Painters comes home to the north east this summer with a cast full of local talent.
The play is loosely based upon the book Pitmen Painters: The Ashington Group 1934-1984 by William Feaver, from which Lee Hall drew inspiration, and will be visiting Newcastle Theatre Royal, from Monday, July 1, to Saturday, July 6.
The cast is bursting with local talent including Blyth’s Philip Correia as Oliver Kilbourn and Wallsend’s Joe Caffrey as Harry Wilson.
The Pitmen Painters is at Newcastle Theatre Royal from Monday, July 1, to Saturday, July 6.
