Rob Heron and his orchestra to perform

Rob Heron and the Tea Pad Orchestra will be at Bedlington Community Centre this weekend.

The orchestra is an original, up beat, six-piece band featuring guitars, mandolin, harmonica, accordion, trumpet, double bass and percussion, whose style mixes Western Swing, Gypsy Jazz, Hokum Blues, Ragtime, Cajun and Country.

Formed in Newcastle in 2010 and led by Heaton-based Rob Heron, the band has shared stages with the likes of Martin Harley Band and Old Sledge.

The band has joined forces with Highlights Touring Scheme for an autumn tour of village halls and community venues, and will call in at Bedlington Community Centre on Saturday, November 9, at 7.30pm, and tickets priced at £8 are available by calling (01670) 824141 or online at www.highlightsnorth.co.uk
