And his latest offering,
Run, fat boy, run, does not disappoint, nor stray from the iconic Pegg brand of humour we have come to know and love from
Shaun of the Dead and
Hot Fuzz.

Five years on he is keen on winning her, and their son's attention as he struggles to compete with her new American Lover Whit (Hank Azaria).
The only problem is, he's an overweight (this fact has been highly argued among myself and other audience members), chainsmoking security guard at a lingerie boutique and Whit is a handsome, successful businessman with an office in Norman Foster's Gherkin.
So, to win her back he enters the Nike river run, running 26 miles against 'the Yank'.
The script is genuinely funny, but it's the visual gags by Pegg that steal the show - anyone brave enough to run through the streets of London in their underwear deserves a medal.
This is a simple and sentimental feel-good comedy - that does exactly what it says on the tin.
With Pegg's films you know what you are going to get, and there is a certain safety and satisfaction in that.
Dylan Moran is comic gold - and gets his rear end out more times that you can count, and Harish Patel who plays Pegg's landlord is hysterical as he uses a metal spatual to coax him through the run.
This is British humour at it's best - pure gold comedy with a simple storyline and a sentimental twist.
Watch it!
