MOST people will recognise the incredible Jennifer Hudson from the Sex and the City film.
Hudson showed off her powerful pipes on the movies soundtrack (she also featured as Carrie's personal assistant), where she belted out All Dressed In Love, which, thankfully appears as a bonus on her debut album.
But the Academy Award-winning actress and former American Idol contestant knocks out hit after hit on her debut album, proving she really can sing as well as she can act.
Jennifer Hudson released her debut album on Monday, September 29, and it looks set to do well.
With track one featuring possibly the best song on the album - her current and first single, Spotlight, which was written by Ne-Yo, who co-produced along with Stargate.
Additional contributors on the album include Timbaland, Robin Thicke, the Underdogs, Diane Warren among others.
Hudson won the 2007 Academy Award for best supporting actress for her role as Effie White in Dreamgirls, and her talents clearly do not stop there, as her first album boasts a bevy of contemporary names that help to make rich, soulful songs.
