ANY interest Newcastle United were claimed to have in Tottenham's former Leeds United trainee Aaron Lennon appears to be over.
Reports have linked Toon manager Kevin Keegan with a £10m bid for the winger.

But now Sky Sports is reporting the speedy winger will not be sold or used as bait for a player-exchange deal during the current transfer window.

Lennon was linked with a possible swap move involving Blackburn's David Bentley moving to White Hart Lane.

But for now the former Leeds United trainee remains firmly in Juande Ramos' plans for the coming campaign.

Lennon is under contract at White Hart Lane until 2012 and has made almost 120 appearances for the club since joining from Leeds United in 2005.

He will be part of the Spurs squad which heads out to Spain for a pre-season training camp later this month.
