FORMER Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder has reportedly had a £1m bid to take Andy Carroll to Norwich City rejected.
Reports claim Canaries boss Roeder, who worked with Carroll while director at the Academy, was told United value the teenager way above £1m offered.

The 19-year-old Gateshead born striker made his first full Premier League debut in the final game of last season, the 3-1 defeat at Everton.

However, he is currently out of action with a heel injury and is unlikely to figure in United's pre-season programme.

Ex-Toon boss Roeder has already tried to take out-of-favour Shola Ameobi to Carrow Road this summer.
