Cramlington Rockets Rugby League Football Club has been given a £300 grant by the Mars Milk Play Fund to spend on new kit.
The Rockets are the sport’s biggest community club in the region, with about 200 regular players, but its players were in desperate need of new strips.
Tracey Peggie, a fundraising officer for the Cramlington Learning Village-based club, said: “Our current playing strips have been passed down from team to team and have seen much better days.
“With this donation from the Mars Milk Play Fund, we will now be able to purchase some new playing strips for one of our teams.”
