If you’re barking about dogs then Bedlington’s the place to be.
For the town is to play host to more than a hundred Bedlington Terriers in a world record breaking event.
The Bedlington Terrier North East Association is organising the largest gathering of the breed of its kind for its annual family fun day.
There will be a procession through the town to Bedlington Terriers Football Club, followed by a family dog show, and a variety of stalls.
Claire Porter, from the group, said: “This breed is now on the Kennel Club ‘at watch’ breeds. Only 395 Bedlington Terriers were registered in 2015 so to have over 100 in Bedlington on the day is a massive achievement.”
The event takes place on Sunday, June 5, from 11am. Proceeds go to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and Bedlington Terrier Rescue.
