Animal Antics then paid a visit. Residents managed to get up close and personal to a number of creatures including a beautiful owl, a lizard and a snake.

A hat day was organised where residents wore a selection of hats and other props, pretending to be different characters.

In addition, one of the Northlea Court nurses, Glynis Toland, has been getting crafty making activity aprons, twiddle muffs and activity blankets for some of the dementia residents.

These items provide multi-sensory stimulation with textures, zips, and beads for restless hands.
