THIEVES stole alcohol from the home of a football club.

The burglars scaled the perimeter fence at Croft Park – home of Blyth Spartans – and smashed an office window.

Once inside, they stole a number of bottles of spirits.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the burglary, which happened between 5pm on Saturday, November 24, and 8.25am on Monday, November 26.
