Appeal following two burglaries

Police are appealing for witnesses after two burglaries in Cramlington.

One of them happened in Sudbury Way between 9am on Thursday, October 6 and 10am on Saturday, October 8.

An offender scaled the front of a house and stole an ornament from an upstairs bedroom windowsill. It is not believed that anything else was stolen.

Anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious should call Northumbria Police on 101 – quoting reference number 572 of 08/10/16 – or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

The other incident took place at an address in Malden Close at 8pm on Saturday.

Burglars entered an unlocked front door and stole a mountain bike which had been left in the front porch area. In its place, they left behind a blue BMX bike.
