After a recent visit to Morpeth, I noticed the park and surrounding areas were immaculately kept, with grass cut and picked up.
My wife, grandchildren and myself had a lovely picnic on the grass.
Returning to Newbiggin, I observed the grass being cut again, however, as usual the animal waste and grass were spread all over the paths and grass areas.
Why is it that the council in Morpeth can keep their areas clean and tidy but ours can’t?
We are told that there is not enough money to upgrade the machinery.
Newbiggin is promoted as being a good area to visit and holiday, however, I feel if this issue is not addressed people will stop visiting here
