A BUSINESSWOMAN who helps babies to communicate via sign language is celebrating after winning two top awards.
Julia Maugham, who runs TinyTalk Baby Signing in Cramlington, Morpeth and Blyth, was last week recognised for her outstanding contribution during 2012, and her commitment and success with TinyTalk since 2007, at the organisation’s annual international conference.
As well as her two individual awards, Julia was joined by four other TinyTalk leaders from the region – Helen Newberry, Helen Angel, Beverley Ramage and Carol Davies – to accept the top regional award, last week.
Julia said: “We were delighted to receive the award as an acknowledgement of how hard we have worked to raise the profile of TinyTalk in the north east.
“We have proved that just because we are self employed, we don’t have to work along, there are many benefits to teamwork.
“I am thrilled to receive these awards, it has been a wonderful year.”
