Has any member of the public noticed how teenagers are more well behaved now?
In Newbiggin-by-the-Sea a couple of years ago, we (the neighbours) were tearing our hair out at the profanity kids were using as if it was a badge of honour. Their language was ripe.
Now, we are seeing and hearing more respectful youngsters walking down our street. Still a bit strident, but hey, weren’t we like that at their age?
We can only conclude that their parents teach them right from wrong in swearing in public.
The academies they attend are teaching them to respect themselves and others.
The clubs the teenagers are attending teach good self discipline.
We done kids.
You will make good, able citizens of Newbiggin-by-the-Sea yet.
