A RECENTLY-opened care home has backed a charity appeal.
Blyth Valley MP Ronnie Campbell was presented with a cheque for £1,000 to be given to his chosen charity Macmillan Cancer Support.
Mr Campbell received the cheque during a visit to Ridley Croft Care Home in the town, where it was presented by Hadrian Healthcare director David Nicholson.
The Labour MP said: “I deeply admire all of the work the Macmillan Cancer Support team do for families and patients both locally and across the UK and I am sure this generous donation will be so gratefully received and put to very good use.”
Mr Nicholson added: “Hadrian Healthcare prides itself on providing excellent care and integrating with the local communities so we are happy to be able to donate a substantial amount to a very worthy organisation that also provides invaluable care.
“Being able to give something back to the community who have supported us in establishing Ridley Park and welcoming new residents into the area is very important to us and we are pleased to be able to help.”
Ridley Park Care Home, owned by Hadrian Healthcare Group, offers affordable residential care and accommodation together with nursing and dementia care.
