Supermarket staff have braved the North Sea to raise money for their charity of the year.

The brave staff members from Sainsbury’s in Cramlington, took a dip in the sea at Blyth Beach to raise much needed funds for Jessica’s Sarcoma Awareness, which is their charity partner of tee year.

So far this year, the staff have raised £5,500 by doing various activities for the charity which was set up in memory of Cramlington youngster Jessica Robson, who was diagnosed with alveolar sarcoma cancer in November 2010,.

After a brave battle, she passed away in May 2014, and her parents Julie and Trevor Robson set up Jessica’s Sarcoma Awareness, which has already raised more than £28,000 in three years.
